Rochester Ecology Partners is a company based out of Rochester, New York, focusing on getting kids back out into nature; a topic that I find extremely important. They enlisted me and my colleague, Quinn Hartman’s help to contribute to their ongoing fundraising campaign for 2026. These videos will soon be displayed on their social media, as well as their website.

Behind the scenes

For the interview setup we opted to use the natural light of the window along with an extra soft source to add more light to the left side of the face. Decided to also use a subtle backlight in order to pop the subject out from the background. For the outdoor sections, Quinn and I created a very run and gun handheld setup, creating the flexibility to move around with the students and go wherever needed.
